When should I drop off my camper?
We can receive your camper as early as 7:00 am (no earlier) until 8:00 am each morning.

What about transportation?
Haluwasa is pleased to announce that we offer door to door transportation within preset boundaries. Pick up will be between 7am –8am. Drop off time will be between 4:45pm—6pm. If transportation is needed there is an additional fee of $90 per camper per week. View our day camp transportation page.

How should my camper dress for a day of camp?
Please do not dress campers in irreplaceable or valuable clothing. Haluwasa cannot be responsible
for lost or misplaced items. Due to the nature of camp activities, campers may get dirty or wet
during the course of the day. For this reason campers should bring a bathing suit, towel, pull-over
shirt and change of clothing to camp daily. Please dress children appropriately for the weather.

What if my camper is sick?
It is important not to bring a camper that is contagious or experiencing a sickness condition that will
not allow them to enjoy the mental and physical challenges of camping. If you’re not sure what to do,
bring your child and upon arrival discuss the situation with our Camp Registrar.

What about camper medications?
Haluwasa’s Medical Director will administer camper medications and treat campers during the week.
Bring medications in original containers with instructions and give them to the Haluwasa Medical
Director at registration. At the end of the week, all unclaimed medications will be disposed of as
required by New Jersey law.

What about lunch?
Haluwasa will provide lunch for all campers.

Does my camper need any spending money?
Yes, Campers typically spend money at Haluwasa’s snack shop, craft and gift shop. Most campers come with at least $10. On Monday morning during registration , the camper hands in his/her spending money for the week. Then the amount is transferred to what we call a “bank card” which is a debit-type card. Each camper purchase during the week is subtracted from the total amount provided. At the end of the week, the unspent total if any, is refunded to parents at the snack shop.

At what time should I pick up my camper?
Pick-up is at the Tabernacle from 5 to 6 PM. Since we have extended our length of pick-up this
summer, a $10 charge will be assessed for children picked up past 6:15 PM. Friday we ask that
you pick-up your children prior to 5:30 because of our closing activities.

Can I pick up my camper early?

Yes! However, you must make special arrangements with the main office at least two hours in
advance so that the Adventure Junction Staff can have your child ready when you arrive.

Unfortunately I have to cancel next week. What is the camp’s policy?
The registration fee is non-refundable. You have the option of rescheduling or receiving a
partial refund if you notify the camp one full week in advance. Rescheduling is based on space
availability and a $10 surcharge will be assessed for the week change

If you have any other questions, please feel free to call us and we will be happy to answer them.
